Cobane’s Birthday

Yesterday (May 31) was my son Cobane’s 8th Birthday. He wanted to have his cousins and a couple of friends over and go on a hike. Afterwards we had some hot dogs and and cake at our house. It was a great day and a wonderful way to end the long Memorial Day Weekend.

My daughter Morin is our resident cake baker…you give her a theme, and she designs and makes the cake. She enjoys utilizing a combination of edible and environmental decorations to bring the scenes alive. Fittingly this year, Cobane asked for an Army cake.
