The weekend of June 5-6, 2009, I traveled up to the 1000 Islands area, Clayton, N.Y. to photograph the wedding of Katrina Wahl and Ron McFarland. I’ve actually spend a good amount of time up there over the past few years, but mostly for scuba diving and not for photography. It is such a beautiful area I would love to go back and do some more!
Katrina’s veil sits in the window light at her parents home right on the St. Lawrence River.
The ceremony was in this quaint little church in St. Vincent…

On the way to the ceremony I notice a rare swan floating in the river…how perfect to see on a wedding day!

The rings…

A very nice ceremony…

Later we all had a cruise on the River…

Bolt Castle… Built for a man’s love of his wife…

Back to Alexandria Bay…

Ron is a Retired Colonal in the U.S. Marines. He put on full dress for the reception…

Thanks Katrina and Ron for a great weekend, and Congratulations!
